Carol Gutierrez Esguerra is a retired executive from the Philippines. She was former President/CEO of BayanTrade Philippines; Deputy Commissioner, Bureau of Internal Revenue; Managing Director, SAP Philippines; General Manager, MegaLink; Vice-President, Development Academy of the Philippines; Senior Project Manager, Andersen Consulting; Marketing Manager, Institute of Advanced Computer Technology; marketing representative, IBM Philippines; and systems support representative, NCR Philippines. She has a BS in Mathematics, an MBA, and a Doctorate in Public Administration, all but dissertation, from the University of the Philippines. She served as president of the Philippine Computer Society; founding president of the Information Technology Foundation of the Philippines; founding chair of the Standards Special Interest Group of the South East Asian Regional Computer Confederation; founding president of the Knowledge Management Association of the Philippines; and chair of several international and national conferences in Asia and the Philippines. She has also taught at three institutions for higher learning in the state of Washington and serves as Business Counselor for small businesses at SCORE, Seattle Chapter. April Dawn Esguerra Carreon is the youngest of three daughters of Carol. She graduated with a BS in Psychology magna cum laude from the University of the Philippines and, until recently, worked a project manager for Accenture in Manila. She has worked in global projects in the US, UK, and Spain and holds a PMP certification. To contribute to society, she joined numerous organizations in the Philippines like Gawad Kalinga, a socio-civic organization that aims to eradicate poverty in the Philippines by providing the poor with homes and a progressive mindset and Singles for Christ, a Christian community that advocates Christian values and way of life.
