“There are various class levels in our society, and although the caste system isn’t as alive today as it once was, there are still, though not as noticeable remnants of it, even in our western civilization. Although we are not India, we have a caste system in our minds: The rich, the middle class, and the poverty stricken. The rich, most of the time, have nothing to do with middle class and, (though I am extremely stereotyping them) want to have nothing to do with them. This is not true for some, but because I am of middle class, I wouldn’t really know how the wealthy view me as a person. There is a saying that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. In some cases, it’s true. The poor ridicule the wealthy because they have money and like to flaunt it. But they worked for their money, and that is their profit- money and the things they can afford to buy with said money. Is this their fault and unfair? Or should they recognize that people that are less fortunate than them are in more need than they are and give to charities? Humans are greedy. We would all like to give to charities, end world hunger, and bring world peace, but those are not realistic goals. We humans are greedy in nature and we will always be.”
